Cancellation Policy

At CariHomestay, we prioritize transparency and trust between guests and homestay owners. Please note that we do not manage or process bookings, payments, or cancellations directly through our platform. Our role is solely to showcase and promote homestay listings across Malaysia for informational purposes.

🏡 For Guests

  1. Direct Communication: All bookings, changes, or cancellations must be handled directly with the property owner or host through their provided contact information (e.g., WhatsApp, phone, or social media link).
  2. Confirm Before Booking: We strongly advise guests to confirm all important details — including room availability, rates, and the property’s own cancellation terms — before making any payment or confirming a stay.
  3. Refunds & Disputes: CariHomestay is not responsible for any refund, cancellation, or modification disputes that arise between a guest and a homestay owner. Any disagreements should be settled directly between both parties.
  4. Documentation: Guests are encouraged to keep proof of conversations or payment (such as WhatsApp chats, receipts, or transaction screenshots) in case of any misunderstanding.

👨‍💼 For Homestay Owners

  1. Clear Policy Display: Each homestay owner is responsible for stating their own cancellation and refund policy within their listing description or communication with guests.
  2. Transparency Required: Misleading or unclear cancellation policies may result in the listing being temporarily removed or modified by the CariHomestay team.
  3. Update Regularly: Owners should ensure that their listing information — including pricing, availability, and cancellation rules — remains accurate and up to date.

  • CariHomestay acts only as a listing and promotional directory to connect homestay owners and potential guests.
  • We do not guarantee or take responsibility for bookings, payments, cancellations, or disputes arising from external communication.
  • In case of repeated guest complaints or misleading listings, CariHomestay reserves the right to suspend, edit, or permanently remove any listing that violates our trust policy.
